Sensitive aquatic habitat

Help us steward sensitive aquatic habitat directly  downstream!

Habitat that maintains trout and salmonid populations is an indicator of ecolgical integrity.

Historic aquatic habitat for fish has been near extirpated in Las Tablas Creek and the greater Salinas River Watershed

(read 1999 Franklin Account: here)

A sensitive reach of cold-water autumn refugia for adult and juvenile rainbow trout remains on the Southwest fork of Las Tablas creek.
