Rangeland Management &
Pollinator Habitat Restoration
The decline in the abundance and ecological integrity of California's native grasslands is attributable primarily to agricultural and urban development, overgrazing by livestock, and invasion by non-native annual grasses. Taken together, this degradation of some of California's most productive and biologically rich ecosystems has led directly to precipitous declines in our state's incredible native fauna, such as the American Kestrel, Swainson's Hawk, Tule Elk, Monarch butterfly, Pronghorn Antelope, and San Joaquin Kit Fox—just to name a few.

Our team brings together rangeland management expertise with backgrounds in avian biology, botany, and environmental science to manage working rangelands and other open space habitat. We work with ranchers and land owners to restore California grasslands, wildflower meadows, and pollinator habitat in general through the creation and implementation of ecologically-focused management plans. We provide detailed management guidelines along with the equipment and personnel to implement rotational grazing, meet residual dry matter targets, increase habitat heterogeneity, plant and maintain pollinator habitat kits, develop riparian buffer strips, along with other well-researched practices in the fields of regenerative grazing and grassland restoration.
